Dr. Kathleen Adolt-Silva (Dr. KAS) will help to clarify things that you might encounter when starting to work in a school or district as a substitute teacher, substitute paraeducator, or full-time Managed Paraeducator Program (MPP) Paraeducator. Students with special needs who have Individual Education Plans (IEP) will have things that the IEP Team has determined need to be done to access the student’s right to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). Learn what Accommodation and Modification mean and look at some Behavior Intervention Plans to help you provide what is needed for these students while in the classroom.

This free session is a voluntary, unpaid professional development opportunity provided for Kelly Education and Teachers On Call employees.
