Position Title: Inventory Control Specialist
This is a 1st shift opportunity offering various start times:
7AM-3:30PM
8AM-4:30PM
9AM-5:30PM
Hourly Compensation: $35

Location: Irvine, CA
Position Overview
As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the flow of materials, work orders, and procurement documentation within the Advanced R&D department. You’ll support engineering teams, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure that data, documentation, and inventory are meticulously tracked and reported. Your contributions will directly impact product development timelines and department efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase orders in Ariba and JDE for Advanced R&D projects
- Monitor and track department spend; generate quarterly summaries of discretionary spending
- Oversee Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), documenting creation and status with scheduled reporting
- Allocate part numbers and maintain accurate records, including quarterly part tracking reports
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and ensure high accuracy in all materials tracking
- Collaborate with engineers and external suppliers to streamline part flow and reporting
- Maintain precise records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation
- Provide reliable support across purchasing, materials tracking, and departmental reporting
- Create Process Instructions (PIs) and Work Orders (WOs); provide status summaries on a quarterly basis
Qualifications
- Inventory management or supply chain experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with systems such as Ariba, JDE, SAP, or similar procurement/ERP platforms
- Strong documentation skills with a sharp eye for detail
- Effective communicator; able to work cross-functionally with engineering and procurement teams
- Must be able to work on-site 5 days per week
- College degree not required—experience and accountability are valued
