Kelly Services has partnered with a leading supplier in the manufacturing industry seeking a Procurement Manager to join their team. Having established business for over 30 years, our client’s products are essential in various industries, including hygiene, medical, and laminated products. Responsibilities:
- Maintain stock needed for production while leading continuous improvement efforts and efficiencies in the supply room
- Receive parts in SAP
- Enter distribution of parts, supplies into the system
- Lead process improvement and lean manufacturing programs and activities within Procurement
- Pursue cost and efficiency gains across Procurement
- Maintain MRP database
- Negotiate pricing for materials and services
- Align with corporate sourcing strategies to achieve goals
- Manage record of parts usage, reporting any unusual to manager
- Ensure quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it timely
- Manage staff of 2 by training, evaluating, etc.
- Follow company procedures and use material and equipment per manufacturers’ directions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficiency in SAP is required
- Bachelors degree or a combination of education and experience in Supply Chain and Procurement
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified
- Possess good management, problem solving, basic math, and interpersonal skills
