Location: Port Allen, LA

Job Type: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime) 6am-2:30pm (if overtime 4:30)

Pay Rate: Starting at $15+, depending on experience

Job Description:

Our customer in Port Allen, LA, is seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Hand to join their team. The role involves performing entry-level fabrication, assembly, alteration, and repair of insulation products and equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with gathering material required for performance of work.

  • Operate equipment such as plasma cutting tables, power shears, notchers, brakes, rollers, and more.

  • Perform quality work with attention to detail to meet or exceed expectations.

  • Follow directions and technical guidance from mentors and supervisors.

  • Understand and adhere to safety requirements and protocols.

  • Lift and/or maneuver items as required.

  • Participate in team activities for continuous improvement.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • must be able to read a messuring tape.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one-year experience in a warehouse/fabrication environment.

  • Ability to read and comprehend measuring devices.

  • Knowledge of basic hand tools.

  • Willingness to undergo a drug screen and background check.

  • Bilingual is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to handle bulky boxes and materials.

  • Standing for extended periods is often required.

  • Fine motor skills for fabricating equipment operation and maintenance.

  • Kneeling or crouching required for certain tasks.

  • PFT Screening.
