At Kelly® Professional & Industrial, we’re seeking Production Assistants to join our innovative manufacturing team in Rochester, NY. If you thrive in a dynamic environment where quality and innovation are paramount, this role is for you.

Pay: $16-17/hr. Temp to hire.
A Shift: 7am to 3:30pm, Mon-Fri.

Summary: The Production Assistant is responsible for cleaning and preparing parts for shipment, deburring and polishing components, maintaining product inventory, and supporting shipping operations—all while keeping the workspace clean and organized.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Clean parts using solvents and other chemicals (e.g., bleach, dish soap)

  • Deburr and polish parts using steel wool, sandpaper, knives, and other tools

  • Sandblast, paint, and assist in light assembly of parts

  • Help pack parts and assemblies for storage or delivery

  • Assist the shipping department in preparing parts for shipment and managing inventory

  • Keep work area clean, safe, and organized

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have…

  • A High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions

  • The ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • A strong team mentality and willingness to pitch in where needed
