What’s a typical day as a Cabinet Maker II? You’ll be:

  • Fabricating custom aircraft furniture and cabinetry to spec using technical drawings


  • Assembling, gluing, and pinning cabinet shells, then installing hardware such as hinges and latches


  • Applying materials such as laminates, veneers, and trim with precision and care


  • Operating a variety of hand and power tools


  • Finalizing furniture with plumbing and electrical integration in the Integration Department


  • Using material tracking systems to monitor work and log completions


  • Collaborating with teammates to improve processes and maintain a safe, organized workspace


This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED


  • At least 2 years of experience in cabinetmaking or fine woodworking


  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and specs


  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces


  • Basic computer literacy for documentation and tracking


  • Aerospace or aviation experience (preferred but not required
