Job details

Kelly Services is seeking a dedicated Receiving/Shipping Associate to support our client’s operations in Farmington, CT.  The ideal candidate will efficiently support the Receiving area by unloading trucks, managing material flow, and ensuring inventory accuracy and workplace organization.

Pay Rate: $19/hr
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling: Load and unload trucks, maintain accurate paperwork, and prepare building labels.

  • Inventory Management: Process Goods Receipts for inbound shipments using SAP.

  • Stock Maintenance: Pull parts from storage, deliver to assembly areas, and record stock transactions.

  • Safety & Organization: Unpack packages, implement 5S workplace organization, and deliver materials to work centers.

  • Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts safely as part of the material handling process.

  • Physical Activities: Stand, walk, lift (50 lbs minimum), and bend for extended periods.

  • Problem Solving: Work independently, anticipate potential problems, and provide effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous forklift experience required. Experience with computerized shipping and SAP preferred.

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication, and organizational skills.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Physical Requirements: Must regularly lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods on concrete floors.
