What’s a typical day as an Architectural Drafter? You’ll be:
– Managing projects from preliminary consultation through delivery, ensuring timelines and specifications are met.
– Reviewing architect’s plans and project specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
– Preparing project-specific shop drawings for submittal and approval, facilitating smooth project execution.
– Entering and maintaining quotes and orders for projects to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
– Creating special drawings for production as required, providing technical support to architects, customers, and internal team members.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
– Possess strong organizational and mathematical skills, essential for project management.
– Have pleasant phone and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with customers and project teams.
– Are able to manage multiple projects in different stages simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
– Have knowledge of operating CAD systems, with AutoCAD being preferred.
– Are proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).
– Can understand and interpret engineering specifications and other technical information sources.
– Have a genuine interest in architecture and architectural products.
– Hold an Associate’s degree in Architectural Design or equivalent (preferred).
