Position Title: Director/Senior Director of Toxicology
Salary range: 250,000-275,000/year
Overview
Join a pioneering, privately-owned biotechnology firm as we drive transformative advancements in toxicology. Positioned at the forefront of innovation with two Investigational New Drug (IND) and one New Drug Application (NDA) milestones imminent, this role offers a unique opportunity to dramatically enhance your professional journey while contributing to groundbreaking projects.
Responsibilities

  • Spearhead toxicology initiatives with a strong emphasis on small molecule development.

  • Craft and evaluate critical documentation for IND and NDA submissions.

  • Supervise Contract Research Organizations (CROs), ensuring adherence to compliance standards and maintaining quality.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage project timelines and facilitate regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

  • Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT).

  • Robust expertise in small molecule toxicology.

  • Demonstrated experience with IND and NDA document composition and submissions.

  • Extensive proficiency in overseeing CRO operations.

  • PhD in a pertinent discipline (Outstanding candidates with DABT certification may be considered without a PhD).

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with therapeutic areas such as Neurology, Rare Diseases, Immunology, or Cardiovascular conditions.

  • Background in pathology.

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree is highly favored.

  • A self-reliant contributor with excellent skills in vendor management.

  • Preference is given to professionals from smaller biotech firms with a proven track record in successful NDA submissions.
