The Kelly® Professional & Industrial team is hiring a Mold Repair Specialist for a thriving company in Hartsville, SC. If you’re detail-oriented, physically fit, and experienced in fiberglass work, we want to hear from you!
Position Details:
- Position: Mold Repair & Patcher Specialist
- Pay Rate: $17/hr
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Enjoy a three-day weekend: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!)
- Location: Hartsville, SC
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Job Responsibilities:
- Mold Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain molds to ensure the production of high-quality boat components.
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and apply necessary coatings to mold surfaces.
- Repair Tasks: Address any damages or imperfections in molds using appropriate repair techniques.
- Tool Utilization: Operate hand and power tools, including grinders, sanders, drills, and buffers, to maintain molds effectively.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, respirators, and protective suits.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior experience in mold maintenance, repair, or a related field is required (at least one year in a plastic injection molding facility is a plus).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems is beneficial.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively to interpret work orders and collaborate with team members.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and working in various positions.
- Strong mechanical skills and proficiency with hand and pneumatic tools are essential.
- Ability to inspect and repair molds with precision to maintain high-quality production standards.
- Experience with tools such as buffers and sanders is beneficial for this role, as they are crucial for surface preparation tasks. Familiarity with fiberglass materials and repair techniques is also advantageous.
