Join our dynamic team as an Assembly Operator with one of the world’s leading Powersports Manufacturers, working on the iconic Indian Motorcycle in Spirit Lake, IA. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, even though the position is contract-based and expected to conclude at the end of June. Position Details
- Pay: $19.76 per hour
- Duration: 3-month assignment (End of June)
- Location: Polaris Indian Motorcycles, Spirit Lake, IA
- Shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday – Friday
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of tasks to prepare or build up vehicle parts, sub-systems, and components.
- Install subsystems, parts, and components into a vehicle on a moving assembly line.
- Perform checks and inspections to ensure good quality.
- Utilize and operate various power tools, hoists, and production equipment.
- Work in a repetitive, fast-paced environment and participate in teams to improve processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- MUST have excellent attendance.
- Experience with hand and power tools are preferred.
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, reach overhead, perform strong pinch and grip, push/pull up to 100 lbs, and stand/walk up to 8 hours per day.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
