What’s a typical day as an Overhead Crane Technician? You’ll be:

• Performing OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work
  

• Performing preventive maintenance work as requested
  

• Supporting customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed
  

• Performing electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings
  

• Maintaining rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, and suggesting improved methods and techniques
  

• Documenting service installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists
  

• Maintaining a professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas
  

• Developing a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists
  

• Being responsible for company equipment including company vehicle(s) and tools

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have 1-2 years’ experience troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment (preferred)
  

• Have an Associate’s degree with a concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology (preferred)
  

• Can develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists
  

• Are capable of performing inspections to OSHA criteria
  

• Can work independently
  

• Are capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing yourself and the company in a professional manner
  

• Possess strong communication skills both internally and externally, informing both the company and the customer of the status of the job
  

• Are quality and results-driven while maintaining a safety mindset
  

• Are required to use your own hand tools and meter
  

• Have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
