Job Summary:
- Develop, document and implement programs to deliver Environmental, Health and Safety for the Client account.
- This position will report to the facility EHS Manager.
- This position will work to ensure adequate oversight of EHS programs and realize continuous improvement of EHS programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Use expertise in EHS disciplines to oversee EHS programs and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Implement new environmental health and safety programs and initiatives.
- Support incident investigations through analysis of incident root cause data, development of effective countermeasures to prevent recurrence, and communication of key lessons learned.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of chemical production areas, providing feedback to manager.
- Support the Operations team in the safe production of products.
- Work with all teams across the site to further EHS performance and goals.
- Prepare and deliver content to management teams and front line employees e.g. training, progress reports, recommendations, etc.
- Assist in implementation of emergency response programs.
- Participate in routine hazard assessments and makes recommendations.
- Participate in audits of all areas of the facility and regularly audit EHS documentation.
- Assists in training of new hires on EHS topics.
- Standardize and document EHS processes Experience in Process Safety and Process Safety Management PSM is highly preferred.
