Quality Assurance Inspector
Our client, a globally recognized leading designer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art power distribution solutions, is RAPIDLY GROWING and expanding their team!
Kelly is hiring the following Temp to Hire roles in Aurora and Streetsboro on their behalf:
Pay: $20-$21/hour based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect samples from each lot to ensure all product quality specifications are met and identify defects.
- Communicate effectively with employees to ensure that quality standards are followed during production.
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement verifications, and rejecting unacceptable materials.
- Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement verifications, and communicating rejection issues per company procedures.
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement verifications.
- Document inspection results by completing inspection reports and rejection documents.
- Perform final checks on completed products to ensure assemblies are complete and accurate.
- Conduct calibrations of measuring equipment as per the annual calibration plan.
- Perform Layered Process Audits (LPA) on the production floor as scheduled.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in using hand-held tools and electronic devices such as micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Drive Documents, and other computer applications.
Preferred:
- Electrical assembly experience.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and handle heavy parts up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to an entire 8-hour shift).
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder while working.
