Hiring a Power Tool Tester / Operator in Towson, MD.

Are you ready to join us and jump-start your career? Now is the perfect time to join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a Tool test/operator working at Stanley Black & Decker in Towson MD.

Shift Schedule:

  • $20.00/h – 6:30 AM- 3:00 PM

  • Monday-Friday OT as needed.

Job description:

  • Test and evaluate power tools following written detailed procedures or instructions

  • Record and track power tool progress using data log sheets

  • Set up workstations including loading and unloading of materials

  • Clean up workspace at end of shift; follow procedures in great detail; note any issues that are out of the ordinary for a specific task; observe tools in operation for the duration of the test

  • Relay information and issues found throughout testing to the test technician or engineer

  • Operate several tools at one time; must be able to lift to 50 lbs by yourself

  • Complete repetitive motions with tools throughout the shift

  • Hold up to 20 lbs at shoulder height for at least five seconds or more

  • Power tools can give off heavy vibration at times and the operator must be able to withstand this for up to six hours in a shift. Materials worked with include Plywood and concrete, 2X10s; sheet metal, and other wood materials. Must be details oriented and able to perform tasks as necessary

Requirements: (Training provided, learn how to operate and test equipment for a major tool manufacturer.

  • Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.

  • Previous construction, roofing, contractor, or Laborer experience required

  • Must be comfortable working in an industrial test center and testing power tools such as drills, saws, nail guns, and other tools.

  • Must have good technical abilities

  • Must be safety and quality-conscious
