Position: Final Line Mech I
Qualifications (Must-Haves):
? Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
? Experience:
- 1 year of aerospace/aviation experience OR
- Equivalent mechanical experience (auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.).
- A&P license may offset the one-year experience requirement.
? Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Basic mechanical skills (drilling, reaming, ship fitting parts, etc.).
- Experience with Solumina and Smarteam (preferred).
? Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Work in small, restricted spaces.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
? Assemble & Install:
- Install aircraft parts, components, lines, and cables using appropriate tools.
- Rig control cables, linkages, landing gear, doors, and engines.
? Repair & Adjust:
- Remove and replace linkages, components, and hardware.
- Cut and fit system lines for repairs.
- Ensure leak-free system installations.
? Quality & Compliance:
- Check work to ensure it meets specifications before final inspection.
- Perform necessary rework for conformity.
- Maintain and update logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc.).
? Tools & Equipment:
- Use permaswage pumps, dies, line cutting tools, wrenches, gauges, and more.
? Work Environment:
- Maintain a neat and orderly workspace.
- Follow safety regulations, FOD, and 5S programs.
? Continuous Improvement:
- Support process improvements and aircraft certification/testing as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- May be required to participate in flight tests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
