Job Title: Research Associate / Scientist – Discovery Biology- Wilmington, DE
Education: BS/BA in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or a related field
Experience: 1-2 years in an industry or academic setting
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Research Associate / Scientist to join our dynamic Discovery Biology team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in various cell biology techniques, including tissue culture, cell-based assays, antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) internalization studies, and molecular biology methodologies. This role requires an independent, organized, and detail-oriented individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, eager to contribute to impactful cancer research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain various cell lines for experimental studies, ensuring optimal conditions for growth and analysis.
- Design and perform cell-based assays to evaluate small molecules, degraders, and ADCs, ensuring accurate data and reproducible results.
- Execute molecular biology techniques such as immunoblotting, quantitative RT-PCR, and flow cytometry to analyze cellular and molecular responses.
- Utilize Incucyte for live-cell imaging and monitoring of cellular dynamics in response to experimental treatments.
- Process and analyze tissue samples to assess in vivo treatment effects, supporting the evaluation of therapeutic candidates.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and well-organized documentation of experimental designs, protocols, and results.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Hands-on experience with tissue culture, cell proliferation assays, in-cell western assays, internalization studies, and immunoblotting.
- Proficiency in Incucyte live-cell imaging, flow cytometry, and tissue sample processing techniques.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
