Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $16.50 an hour

What’s a typical day as Janitor? You’ll be:

• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, straightening, and vacuuming all assigned facilities
  

• Notifying management of the need for major repairs or additions
  

• Undertaking deep cleaning projects for bathrooms, duplexes, conference rooms, classrooms, storage areas, cafeteria, and other detailed areas
  

• Cleaning exterior areas, including sweeping sidewalks, porches, and decks
  

• Emptying trash and garbage containers and disposing of waste properly
  

• Cleaning carpets both by hand and using machines
  

• Detailing company vehicles
  

• Conducting deep cleaning of furniture, including moving and rearranging items
  

• Maintaining building supplies and completing order forms as needed
  

• Engaging in tasks requiring pushing, pulling, lifting, kneeling, bending, squatting, and standing on ladders
  

• Performing tasks involving getting down on hands and knees, scrubbing, and bending
  

• Handling various cleaning chemicals and equipment, such as automatic scrubbers, carpet extractors, and buffers
  

• Working outdoors for short periods in all weather conditions
  

• Performing other duties as assigned

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have janitorial or housekeeping, or related experience
  

• Can lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for up to eight hours, constantly moving
  

• Are able to manage stairways, work with hands above head, and clean various areas both indoors and outdoors
  

• Can work in either an office setting with environmentally controlled conditions or a non-environmentally controlled setting with exposure to heat or cold

What would be nice for you to have:

• Experience operating various cleaning machines and knowledge about cleaning supplies and chemicals
  

• Strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively with team members
  

• A positive attitude and reliability
