We are seeking a Marine Diesel Technician to join a premier diesel engine component manufacturer in Morgan City, LA. Job Title: Marine Diesel Technician

Compensation and Benefits:

•    Starting Pay: $26.54 – $30.77 per hour
•    Guaranteed 48 hours of overtime weekly, regardless of workload
•    Hiring Bonus: $5,000 after the first 6 weeks

Responsibilities: As a Marine Diesel Technician, your day will include:

•    Responding to on-call service requests, ensuring timely arrival at the shop within 30-60 minutes
•    Performing repairs on high horsepower and heavy-duty engines, including internal engine repairs and overhauls
•    Conducting sea trials after repairs to ensure engine functionality and reliability
•    Traveling to job sites, initially within 2 hours of the shop along the Gulf Coast, with potential for further travel and even international assignments as you advance

Work Schedule:

•    14 days on, 7 days off, with expected 12-16 hour workdays
•    On-call availability required, with the ability to get to the shop within 30-60 minutes, day or night
•    Travel to job sites by personal vehicle, with ride-sharing to job sites in a service truck

What We’re Looking For: This position is a great fit if you have:

•    Experience with high horsepower engines and heavy-duty engine repairs (a must)
•    Skills in troubleshooting, fuel systems, and after-treatment/wet manifold systems
•    A willingness to participate in sea trials after every repair
•    Ability to travel within 2 hours of the shop and participate in further travel as you advance

Additional Requirements:
•    TWIC card and passport are a plus, but not required
•    Sea trials are required after every repair, so candidates must be comfortable with this
•    Experience/Skills required include:

  • High horsepower engine repairs (a must)

  • Heavy-duty engines

  • Internal engine repair and overhaul

  • After-treatment/wet manifold systems

  • Fuel systems and troubleshooting
