Position: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Bradenton FL 34203
Schedule: 1st Shift
Salary: $20.00 hour
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment used in the bottling line’s production, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on bottling production machinery, and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation issues; implement effective solutions to minimize production interruptions.
- Automation Systems: Maintain and program automated systems and robotic devices used in the production process to maximize efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all equipment operates in accordance with safety regulations and standards; promptly address any safety concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements to equipment reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within the bottling manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
- Familiarity with confectionery equipment, such as enrobers, is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, noise, and standing for extended periods.
