Machine Operator II – CNC Operator/Programmer
Location: On-site – Cleburne, TX
Salary Grade: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour (DOE)
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Position Summary
A leading manufacturing company is seeking a skilled CNC Operator/Programmer (Machine Operator II) to join our team in Cleburne, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in CNC operations, including setup, programming, and operating a variety of CNC machines such as drills, lathes, shears, brake presses, plasma cutters, rollers, and machining centers. This role requires a deep understanding of materials, manufacturing standards, production methods, and quality control requirements.
The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, selecting correct materials, identifying process steps, applying manufacturing and quality standards, and using the most effective production methods.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan machining operations based on shop orders and part drawings.
- Set parameters and initiate programs to operate CNC machines, including creating programs from drawings.
- Set up tooling, jigs, and fixtures; load and align materials and parts.
- Perform ongoing in-process inspections during runs to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain oil and coolant levels and conduct minor service requirements.
- Ensure first-piece inspections are completed and recorded accurately.
- Occasionally operate non-CNC machine tools.
- Lift and handle parts weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Utilize Microsoft Office software as needed for documentation and communication.
- Perform other tasks within the scope of the position as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Required: High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: 3+ years of manufacturing experience
- Experience with HAAS machines or similar manufacturing equipment preferred
