Sr. Cost Accountant
Function: Finance
Type: Direct Hire
Location: Centerville, LA
Job Purpose: Assist the Plant Controller with financial accounting and purchasing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Costs Analysis & Closing Transactions: Utilize SAP and collaborate with plant teams.
- Monthly Reporting & Analysis: Develop reports using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fixed Cost Analysis & Performance Tracking: Monitor deviations and update management.
- Working Capital Analysis & Forecasting: Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales.
- Capital Expenditure Projects & Evaluations: Analyze and coordinate capital projects.
- Annual Budgets & Operating Plans Support: Assist with forecasts and budgets.
Requirements:
- Education: Four-year degree in accounting or business administration.
- Experience: 5-10 years in accounting.
- Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in SAP, IFRS, Microsoft Office, excellent communication, and the ability to work with all levels of personnel.
Internal Relationships:
- Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager, Controller
External Relationships:
- Corporate Accounting
Preferred: Background in process cost environments.
