Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking candidates for a night shift Quality Assurance Technician position at a food and beverage manufacturer south of Dallas, TX. The overall responsibility of the position is to perform laboratory testing to ensure ingredients, final products, and packaging conform to quality specifications.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Perform laboratory testing such as pH, solids/moisture, sodium, etc.
- Perform microbiology testing including basic plating in a clean room environment
- Perform destructive aseptic package testing
- Communicate lab data to Quality Supervisor and Operations Shift Leaders
- Accurately prepares and maintains all area paperwork
- Perform laboratory equipment calibrations at specified intervals
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderate operating difficulties involving area equipment
- Assist with investigations related to product spoilage
- Perform incubation activities according to standard operating procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Education/ Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- AS/BS degree in Food Science/Food Technology or a Life Science
- And/or 2+ years related experience in a food or beverage production facility preferred but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

- Contract-to Hire
- Hourly pay rate: $23.50
- Work schedule: 2-2-3 rotating night shifts (6pm-6am)
