Kelly® Engineering has an exciting Chemical Engineering Technician project with a cutting edge company working to decrease global carbon emissions in Germantown, MD (onsite position)
This 3-4 month project offers:
- Very flexible hours- 30 hours per week
- Making a positive impact: Contributing to solving one of the most pressing issues of our time- climate change
- Working with cutting-edge technology: Involvement in the development and deployment of innovative technologies and solutions
Chemical Engineering Technician Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting experiments related to carbon capture under the supervision of lead researchers.
- Maintaining/troubleshooting lab equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and in proper working condition.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze samples for carbon capture experiments
- Accurately record data and ensure its integrity. Assist in data analysis and interpretation.
- Adhere to lab safety protocols and handle chemicals and equipment safely.
- Take the lead in managing the laboratory- ordering materials, ensuring sufficient material quantities are maintained in inventory,
Chemical Engineering Technician Requirements:
- Proficiency in using lab equipment and conducting chemical analyses
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and make minor repairs
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
