We are currently seeking a Project Estimator for a large growing industrial welding company located in South Houston, TX 77045!
Pay Rate: $80,000 yrly
Schedule : Remote w/ 1-day a week in office
Type: Temp to perm after 90 days
Benefits: 401k , Health, dental, Vision, PTO
Responsibilities:
- Provides estimates for commercial, industrial , structural projects.
- Utilizes historical data with appropriate installation factors, site specific factors and experience to produce cost estimates for project authorization and execution purposes.
- Collects and correlates necessary project-related cost and schedule data needed to determine equipment, material, subcontract, construction labor, expenses,
- Ensures accuracy of estimates by working closely with Project Team members to understand scope and details of project.
- Evaluates project deviations in order to provide data to project steering team for proper decision making.
- Utilizes project estimated scope of work and aligns costs with schedule.
- Serves as Estimating subject matter expert.
- Contributes to improvement of Cost Estimating Work Process and leveraging of learning experiences.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years estimating experience is required.
- Experience with Excel and Blue Beam software systems
- Experience in the structural welding industry is a plus.
- Prior experience with large capital projects, design, and/or construction is required.
