Production Worker
Position: Production Worker
Location: Saint Gabriel, LA

Job Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Work Week: 40 hours (5 x 8-hour days)
Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Duties: Product manufacturing, forklift driving, inventory control, equipment maintenance, safety, quality control, and communication with other employees.

  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest quality of products; ensure all quality checks are meticulous.

  • Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations; wear proper safety equipment at all times.

  • Product Manufacturing: Follow precise mixing instructions, check and double-check chemical weights and orders.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Regular cleaning of tanks, hoses, and equipment post-production.

  • Forklift Operation: Operate with proficiency; maintain inspection records.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Forklift experience is highly desirable; blending experience is a bonus but not necessary.

  • Punctuality: Arrive 5 minutes before the start of the shift; time cards docked in 15-minute increments if late.

  • Communication: Submit requests for time off to management in writing beforehand.

  • Certification: Ensure all products are labeled correctly; follow shipping and receiving protocols.

Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Activities:

  • Daily: Clean work areas, maintain equipment used, and ensure safe working conditions.

  • Weekly: Maintain forklift battery levels.

  • Monthly: Inspect fire extinguishers, safety showers, and eye wash stations.

Additional Notes:

  • Uniform: Clean and well-maintained.

  • Breaks: Cell phone use limited to lunch and breaks.

  • Documentation: Keep accurate production records and safety checklists.
