Job Title: Production Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Production Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Lake Mary, FL
Salary Range: Up to $23.00/hour (based on experience)
Position Type: Full-Time/Temp to Hire
Schedule: 1st shift – Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Production Maintenance Technician to join a Metals Manufacturing team in Lake Mary, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex production equipment and systems. Your expertise will contribute to improving equipment efficiency, capabilities, and overall production yield. You will also be tasked with troubleshooting equipment issues, analyzing failures, and documenting modifications and maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on a variety of production equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with production machinery and systems
- Provide skilled repairs to complex equipment, including emergency and unscheduled maintenance
- Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to increase production efficiency and yield
- Conduct detailed failure analysis and identify root causes of equipment malfunctions
- Document all equipment modifications and maintenance procedures in technical reports
- Collaborate with the team to implement solutions that minimize downtime and maximize productivity
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of experience in a production maintenance or similar technical role
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in various physical positions for extended periods
Safety Requirements
- Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes must be worn in all manufacturing areas
- Hearing protection is required in designated areas and recommended in unmarked zones
