Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a R&D Process Tech. for a Long Term Contract opportunity in Lake Jackson, TX.

The R&D Process technician will provide support to Packaging, Specialty Plastics, and Hydrocarbons (PSP&H) Process & Catalyst R&D team.  The successful candidate will work both independently and part of a larger team to support lab scale spray dryer operation. The role requires mechanical aptitude, a high level of independence and initiative, meticulous attention to detail, self-motivation, interpersonal effectiveness and reliability. The technician will be accountable for the quality of the data generated. Good verbal and written communication skills and the capacity to interact effectively with coworkers at all levels are required. Training on specific skills and processes will be provided on the job. The role may include but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
 

  • Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures, and practices to ensure safe and efficient laboratory operation.

  • Maintain supplies of consumable research supplies including chemicals, lab supplies, and PPE.

  • Conduct routine maintenance and operation of spray dryer and related infrastructure.

  • Package and dispose of waste per RCRA regulations.

  • Document and/or communicate results and observations in a timely and detailed fashion.

  • Facilitate established laboratory support workflows such as sample shipping, housekeeping, and chemical inventory with broad impacts to the R&D team.

Safety:

  • There is potential for heavy lifting of up to 50lbs.

  • PPE is required per the specified work location
