Our client is looking for a qualified candidate who has experience preparing cost proposals and working with sales and customers on products.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating innovative product designs, preparing detailed proposals and quotations, and utilizing CAD software to develop and manage design processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Conceptualize and create innovative product designs that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Generate detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
- Conduct feasibility studies and design modifications for existing products.
- Conceptualize and create innovative product designs that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Proposals and Quotations:
- Prepare comprehensive design proposals that include project timelines, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop competitive quotations for clients.
- Assess material costs, labor expenses, and manufacturing processes to ensure accurate pricing.

- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Maintain open and effective communication with clients to ensure all design requirements are met.
- Provide technical support and expertise throughout the product development lifecycle.

- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project deadlines.
- Utilize project management tools to track progress, allocate resources, and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics and or 3 years experience.
- We will consider recent college graduates for this role.
- Microsoft office and CAD is a must.
