Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (9/80 Work Schedule)

Job Summary:
Kelly Government is seeking Electronics Assemblers to join our team in Fort Walton Beach, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for producing a variety of small parts and circuit cards, assembling and wiring basic components and subassemblies, and soldering in accordance with J-STD-001 standards. You will work from layout diagrams, schematics, wire prints, and verbal instructions to modify, fabricate, and build equipment and subassemblies.
Basic Functions:
- Produce a variety of small parts and circuit cards.
- Assemble and wire basic components and subassemblies.
- Solder in accordance with J-STD-001. (will train)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Modify, fabricate, and build equipment and subassemblies using layout diagrams, schematics, wire prints, and verbal instructions.
- Align and join parts into housings using hand and power tools.
- Install components and parts on chassis, circuit boards, panels, and other units using power tools, hand tools, and various soldering equipment.
- Route and attach wires and connectors to form circuitry and connect assemblies with power supply sources.
- Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, cleaning, coating, epoxy bonding, wiring, stamping, etching, and color coding parts and assemblies.
- Wire various wire cable assemblies to both inside and outside chassis.
- Assemble and attach functional and cosmetic hardware such as caps, clamps, and knobs using hand and power tools.
- Install finished assemblies and subassemblies in cases or cabinets.
- Perform touch-up painting of cabinets prior to shipping.
- Mount equipment in cabinets or on shelves in vans, ships, and test beds using detailed work instructions.
- Use visual aids, drawings, verbal and written instructions to prepare automatic and manual production machinery and equipment to produce small coils and other parts to specifications.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work with hazardous cutting tools and chemicals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related assembly/electronics manufacturing experience.
- Basic Electronics experience – Related work experience could include roles like electronics assembly technician, computer repair technician assistant, customer service representative in an electronics store, technical support specialist for electronics, or basic repair work on personal electronics like computers or smartphones.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
