Job details
We are seeking a skilled PLC Technician to join our Food and Beverage partner in Lakeland, FL.
As a PLC Technician in Lakeland, FL. you will design, program, repair, and maintain PLC systems critical to our beverage production operations. This role includes troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate: $36-$40 per hour, plus shift differential
Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotation, 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM
Direct Hire
Overview
- Adhere to all safety protocols, GMPs, and wear required PPE.
- Diagnose and repair PLC and automation issues, including wiring and components.
- Program and troubleshoot using RS Logix 5000, RS Logix 500, or RS Logix 5 software.
- Perform preventative maintenance and upgrades on production equipment.
- Interface with various equipment, including Allen Bradley PLCs and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Calibrate and test equipment to meet performance standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and programming changes.
- Train team members on basic PLC troubleshooting.
- Identify and suggest process improvements for system optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with RS Logix software and Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Skilled in using multimeters and troubleshooting control panels (up to 480VAC).
- Experience with VFDs (e.g., PowerFlex, Yaskawa) and PanelView devices.
- Proficiency with RS Logix software and Allen Bradley PLCs.

Experience & Certification:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance.
- Electrical/electronic troubleshooting expertise required.
- Preference for candidates with a Rockwell Maintainer or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 24 months).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and use of hand-eye coordination.
- Visual acuity for working with equipment and computer screens.
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
