Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a QC Lab Technician position at a personal care manufacturing facility in Baton Rouge. The overall responsibility of the position is the analysis and inspection of incoming chemicals, work-in-progress materials, and finished products following company SOPs.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Inspection of incoming product containers and labels to ensure they meet quality standards
  

• Identify and classify chemicals, product containers, work-in-progress materials and finished products as accepted or rejected based on analyses/inspections
  

• Perform inspection of finished products’ packaging, closures, and labels
  

• Complete documentation associated with all inspections and audits
  

• Maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensure the lab is stocked with supplies
  

• Keep temperature logs of incubators, refrigerators, and freezers
  

• Prepare microbiological media and culture pathogens on such media
  

• Collects, sterilizes, and disposes of biohazard materials

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related discipline
  

• One year of related work experience is preferred, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  

• General familiarity with laboratory equipment and the ability to learn new laboratory techniques
  

• Experience with some of the following is preferred: HPLC, GC, FTIR, AA, pipetting, density, viscosity, and aseptic technique
  

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  

• Self-motivated, high ownership of assigned tasks, and results oriented
  

• Strong computer and organizational skills
  

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
