Kelly Engineering is seeking a Facility Project Engineer to support a long-term project with a reputable medical device company in Yorba Linda, CA. This company is a global leader in innovative dental solutions, specializing in implant-based restorative and esthetic dentistry.
About the Role:
As a Facility Project Engineer, you will work directly with the EHS & Facility Manager to plan, manage, and execute facility projects, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements. This is a hands-on engineering role that requires strong technical expertise and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and execute facility projects, including renovations, expansions, and maintenance upgrades.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Assess and oversee mechanical, electrical, and HVAC system improvements.
- Design or oversee engineering solutions that meet operational and industry standards.
- Participate in the installation, modification, and repair of facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Manage relationships with contractors, architects, and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.
- Maintain project records, including technical reports, drawings, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure projects adhere to construction, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement safety protocols and conduct safety audits.
- Recommend and implement cost-effective, sustainable facility solutions.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in facility engineering, project management, and compliance regulations.
- ISO 14644 expertise (critical for this role).
- Hands-on experience working in facility environments.
- Strong communication skills—must be comfortable working with supervisors, operators, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
Preferred but Not Required:
- BSI Facility Management Standards knowledge is a big plus.
