Job Title: Production Operator – Metal and Alloy Production
Location: Ft. Worth, Texas (near Alliance Airport / Roanoke area)
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A HIGH HEAT ENVIORNMENT SIMILAR TO A METAL FORGE
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in high-temperature environments, such as steel mills, glass manufacturing, or other molten metal processing facilities. This role requires a hands-on approach in a 24/7 industrial operation, with a focus on metal and alloy casting processes. The Production Operator will operate and monitor molten metal electrolysis, vacuum casting equipment, and related material handling machinery. You will work in a high-temperature environment and follow safety procedures while operating equipment to ensure the highest quality and productivity.
The schedule for this position follows a DuPont shift pattern: 4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Perform daily area and equipment inspections to ensure operational readiness.
- Prepare materials and set up equipment following detailed recipes and work instructions.
- Safely operate mobile and material handling equipment.
- Monitor and operate molten metal processing and vacuum casting equipment.
- Adjust equipment and process parameters to ensure quality and productivity standards are met.
- Document and report production data, ensuring accurate tracking of operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with safety standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing and maintaining company-issued personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen activities.
- Perform other tasks as required by the Production Supervisor.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in foundry, hot metal working, or molten metal processing, is preferred.
- Background in working in extreme temperatures is highly preferred.
- Attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness and organization.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry into ERP systems and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working a DuPont schedule is preferred.
