Production Engineer – CASTING
Long Term contract with benefits!! 

Who we’re looking for:

  • Toyota’s Engineering Department at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Missouri (TMMO) is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineer – Casting.

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to advance the KPIs (improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost) for existing low-pressure casting machine cells. 

  • The person in this role will support the production department’s objective to meet targets and launch new projects successfully.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead improvement initiatives – safety, quality, productivity, and cost on casting/production lines

  • Work with various departments within TMMMO Plant as well as outside Vendors for process improvements.

  • Lead quality improvement activity within the Production department.

  • Participate on task force team with Production and Maintenance – support Production/Maintenance kaizens.

  • Daily review of the process, part quality, and downtime for the production department.

  • Provide daily process support with Production and Maintenance

  • Demonstrates good problem-solving skills by determining root causes, countermeasures, implementation, and tracking of results.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering or 3+ years of equivalent professional work experience in Toyota Casting

  • Aluminum casting experience, including experience creating, implementing, and maintaining processes on the shop floor

  • CAD experience, including the ability to read, interpret, and modify 2D and/or 3D drawings

  • Ability to work weekends, overtime, and shutdown work (such as July and December holidays) as needed

  • Experience applying Toyota Production System (TPS) principles of kaizen, standardized work, or similar lean methodologies

Added bonus if you have:

  • Toyota Business Practice (TBP) completion through panel (Toyota Team Members Only)

  • Experience with the new model introduction or similar product preparation or launch

  • Automotive manufacturing experience

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI or similar

  • PLC experience

  • Robot knowledge/programming experience
