Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a Data Specialist & Portfolio Management Support (On-Site) for a Long Term Contract opportunity in Midland, MI.

Job Description

The Operations Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team exists to elevate the Enterprise through Operations performance and expertise connectivity. By fulfilling the responsibilities below, this role will support the Operations GRC team’s successful execution of activities aligned to our strategy pillars of visibility, collaboration, proactiveness & sustainability. While most of these activities relate to project & resource portfolio management and the visualization of data, some general administrative support is required.

Responsibilities / Duties
Portfolio Management Admin Support – On-site
• Assist with implementation of enterprise-supported portfolio management tools
• Provide system-specific training & ongoing coaching for new team members and portfolio management roles
• Complete necessary activities to prepare portfolio management systems for the new year
• Process changes to ensure accuracy of active rosters
• Provide appropriate follow up & escalation to maintain 100% timesheet compliance
• Resolve suspense time on submitted timesheets
• Provide general admin support to teams, with a focus on growing the knowledge of users (“teach to fish” mentality)
• Identify opportunities for improvement with portfolio management systems and assist with implementation of identified solutions
• Provide ad-hoc support to Portfolio Managers & leadership teams as it pertains to resource & project portfolio management.

Data & Reporting
• Follow work processes to maintain source data for various PowerBi dashboards; updates must take place on a set frequency to keep dashboards relevant with current data
• Support Data Scientist with analysis, as directed
• Work with Data Management team to build & manage improvements to PowerBi dashboards related to governance activities & portfolio management
• Push reporting, as defined by portfolio management teams, to encourage data accuracy; follow up to ensure timely corrective action is taken
• Support Operations GRC by creating & managing various reports in accordance with the published communication plan (metrics, back-logs, etc.)

General Admin Support
• Meeting preparation & facilitation, including road shows & workshops
• Maintenance of the following collaboration tools
o Intranet site (SharePoint)
o File structure (SharePoint)
o Teams Channel
o Self-Assessment Tool (format TBD)
• Assist with the development of various communications for publishing
• Assist with the development & delivery of training materials

Experience & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant computer science, information technology, or engineering field with related work
experience required (2+ years preferred)
• Can work independently with little oversight, strong initiative
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver against set deadlines; communicate barriers & escalate when necessary
• Strong ability to collaborate with in person & virtual teams
• Experience with portfolio management systems, as well as general supply and demand balance
• Advanced experience in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, PowerBi, Lists, etc.)
