2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am
(Ability to train during 1st shift hours)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Strip Plating Operator to join our team. This role involves operating and maintaining reel-to-reel strip plating equipment, ensuring quality production, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. The ideal candidate will have experience with chemical monitoring, temperature adjustments, and precision measuring devices.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Equipment Operation
- Access and follow written work instructions for strip plating operations.
- Operate and adjust the natural gas burner system (gas/air mixture) to maintain proper annealing temperatures.
- Perform SAP confirmations and utilize a label printing program as required.
Quality Control & Inspection
- Monitor the quality of parts produced through visual inspections to identify defects.
- Use measuring devices such as calipers and crush test gauges to ensure product specifications.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Assess, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical problems to maintain continuous production.
- Assist in making chemical additions and monitor plating solutions for optimal performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with reel-to-reel plating equipment is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and chemical issues.
- Familiarity with measuring devices (calipers, crush test gauges).
- Basic knowledge of SAP confirmations and label printing software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
