Location: Melbourne, Florida
Pay Rate: $18.70 /hour
Position Type: Full-time
Schedule: 2nd shift 3:30pm-11:30pm Monday – Friday
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a dedicated Test Operator to join an electronic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing tests on electronic products using specific test fixtures and tools, ensuring that products meet quality standards before moving to the next stage in the production process. Key Responsibilities:
- Product Testing & Setup: Perform inspection, test set-up, and operation for various products according to product-specific test procedures.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately enter test results into the quality system, interpret diagnostics, and route products based on test outcomes.
- Component Identification: Identify and report defective components to ensure quality control and product integrity.
- Assembly & Programming: Assemble and/or program circuit board assemblies as needed.
- Work-in-Process Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of work-in-process associated with the work cell.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.
- Quality Team Participation: Participate in quality meetings and contribute to discussions around product improvement.
- Compliance: Follow all applicable ISO standards and specific job-related procedures to ensure product quality and compliance.
- ESD Integrity: Maintain electrostatic discharge (ESD) integrity within the production environment.
- Training: Potential to assist with training other employees and share knowledge on testing procedures.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as directed by management to support the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in electronics, specifically in a test or inspection environment (preferred).
- Knowledge: Familiarity with PCB assembly, product assembly processes, and component value identification.
- Skills:
- Ability to perform tasks using written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids.
- Strong basic computer skills and the ability to use problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a multi-tasking, fast-paced team environment.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 standards and procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet production goals.
