2nd Shift Assembly Group Lead-Direct Hire
Windsor, CT
Pay: $26.75/hr
Schedule: 2nd shift Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm

What’s a typical day as a 2nd Shift Assembly Group Lead? You’ll be:
- Assembling preformed sheet metal parts using drills, wrenches, high pressure carts, screwdrivers, hammers, and other equipment
- Operating equipment with personal safety and that of fellow employees in mind
- Assembling and pressure testing valves and similar components
- Interpreting assembly and sub-assembly drawings and sketches accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Logging daily work on manufacturing and/or production travelers
- Completing other assignments as assigned by supervisors
- Leading and motivating a team of assemblers to achieve production goals
- Providing guidance and support to team members
- Identifying and resolving issues within the team
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have experience in the assembly of preformed sheet metal parts and using mechanical equipment
- Have a minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
- Have at least 1 year of supervisory or management experience
- Can safely move over uneven terrain and in restricted spaces
- Can climb ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs
- Can kneel, bend, and stand for long periods
- Can work in and around areas with limited space
- Are available to work second shift (Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm)
- Have the ability to use, read, and interpret drawings and measuring scale or tape proficiently
- Can work both independently and in a team environment
- Are familiar with tablets and computers
- Possess strong leadership and communication skills
- Are able to delegate tasks effectively
- Have a proven track record of success in a team-oriented environment
