Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced FSQ Manager to lead the food safety and quality programs at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, regulatory compliance, and GFSI standards. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining food safety and quality programs to meet or exceed all regulatory and customer expectations. You will also lead a team, manage day-to-day operations, and collaborate with auditors, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of Food Safety and Quality SOPs, Food Safety Plan/HACCP, GMPs, Pest Prevention, and Allergen Control.
• Act as the primary contact for auditors, customers, and regulatory agencies.
• Manage and coach FSQ team members to achieve individual and team goals.
• Oversee all product/equipment/line commercialization, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
• Provide technical expertise for continuous improvement, product development, and quality management issues.
• Evaluate and resolve customer product quality issues, coordinating with the Corporate QA team.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science/Technology, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in food manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years in an FSQ leadership role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• HACCP certification required; FSPCA/PCQI and other relevant certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FSMA requirements, GMPs, sanitary design, and food technology.
Additional Considerations:
• Travel Expectation: Up to 10%
• Work Environment: Office/laboratory (60%), Manufacturing/Production (40%)
