Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Medical Laboratory Associate Scientist for contract-to-hire (temp-to-permanent, ~6 month conversion) position with the R&D department at a biotechnology company in St. Louis, MO. We’re seeking a qualified Associate Scientist to join our team and contribute to advancing R&D and clinical programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests for Research Use Only (“RUO”)/ Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (“CLIA”) high complexity testing.
- Conduct QA/QC on test results and analyses.
- Maintain reagents and supplies inventory.
- Assist in the development of biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases.
- Accurately record and report results in paper or electronic formats.
- Develop and revise SOPs, ensuring compliance with safety policies.
- Support project scientists and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 3+ years of research/clinical lab experience
- OR a degree in Medical Technology (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) with 1+ year of clinical lab experience.
- Experience with human biological specimens (e.g., blood) and biosafety procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with immunoassays, liquid chromatography, or mass spectrometry is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and database entry.

- Target pay rate: approximately $30-35/hour, dependent on relevant experience in a clinical laboratory
