Position Title: Property Maintenance Technician
Location: Albany, NY
Hours: 1st shift 8a-5p Monday to Friday
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour

The Maintenance Technician will assist the Maintenance Superintendent with the daily upkeep of the building and grounds, performing maintenance tasks as needed, including repairs and routine service calls.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance in apartments, common areas, and parking lots, including cleaning, painting, and snow removal.
- Preventive Maintenance: Help implement the Preventive Maintenance Schedule to keep the property in good condition.
- Property Inspections: Assist in regular property inspections and report on conditions, cleanliness, and maintenance needs.
- Emergency Support: Be available for on-call emergency maintenance requests.
- Turnover Preparation: Help prepare apartments for new residents during turnover.
- Resident Requests: Complete service requests from residents in a timely manner.
- Grounds Maintenance: Inspect parking lots and outdoor areas, including checking for oil spills, unauthorized vehicles, and maintaining the site’s lighting.
- Reporting: Report any building damage, vandalism, or unusual incidents to the Community Leader.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- Previous experience in property maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
Physical Demands:
- Use hands regularly for tools and equipment.
- Frequently stand, bend, reach, climb, and balance.
- Lift up to 75 lbs.
Work Conditions:
- Work is done in apartments, common areas, and on property grounds.
- Regular interaction with residents and staff.
