Powder Coating Operator
Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday

  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay: $18/hour
Location: Aurora, OH
 
 
Position Description: We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coating Operator to monitor and operate our equipment and facilities, ensuring adherence to quality and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate will maintain safety standards and follow emergency procedures as needed.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Operate automated powder coating equipment

  • Load and unload parts from the overhead conveyor

  • Monitor parts going through the line to ensure proper process operation

  • Touch-up parts using manual powder coating guns as necessary

  • Maintain wash/coating system tank concentrations and pH using probes, titrations, and other methods

  • Pull wastewater samples and maintain pH within permitted values

  • Ensure proper powder coating adhesion and coverage on surfaces

  • Complete tasks as required to meet production demands

  • Read and interpret various build specifications, quality requirements, and computer-generated documents

 
Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic math skills for accurate measurement and mixing of coatings

  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control

  • Experience in a finishing or manufacturing environment or equivalent experience

  • Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions

  • Proficient in using hand tools

  • Capable of handling intricate parts

  • Strong attention to detail

 
Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and handle heavy parts up to 30 lbs.

  • Stand for extended periods, up to the entire shift

  • Bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder while working

  • Reach above and forward at least 18 inches

  • Possess hand dexterity for installing small hardware

  • Good vision for part and assembly inspection
