Business Excellence Engineer

Kelly Services is currently seeking a Business Excellence Engineer for one of our top clients in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

  • The Business Excellence Engineer will be responsible for implementing and supporting business excellence initiatives across the site.

  • This role focuses on identifying, planning, and executing improvement projects that align with corporate goals, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, digital tools, and data analytics to enhance process efficiency and deliver strategic value.

  • This role will report to the manufacturing supervisor in the Operations department.

SECTION 2: DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:


  • Lead and support business improvement initiatives across departments, using Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies.

  • Manage the execution of high-impact improvement projects, ensuring all phases from initiation to closure are completed effectively and align with organizational goals.

  • Utilize data analytics tools to track project outcomes, optimize workflows, and measure the impact of implemented solutions on key performance indicators KPIs

  • Support digital transformation initiatives, including the deployment of data analytics and visualization tools like E2E dashboards, and other digital solutions, to enhance decision-making and operational transparency.

  • Work on innovative digital projects that support cost reduction in production planning, logistics, and inventory management by enabling data-driven decision-making.

  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify areas for operational and cost optimization, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable improvements.

  • Act as a resource and advocate for business excellence practices, encouraging proactive problem-solving and facilitating collaboration across departments.

  • Provide training and mentorship on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement among team members and other functional groups.

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

SECTION 3: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related discipline.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within medical device or related industry preferred.

  • Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and project management, with a demonstrated record of driving measurable improvement projects.

  • Hands-on experience with digital transformation projects, including familiarity with data analytics tools e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Excel is an asset.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration and engagement across teams.

  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes, quality control, and regulatory requirements.

  • Proficient in using production and manufacturing software systems, as well as MS Office Suite familiarity with GD T practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and engineering drawings.
