Program Description: The Project Engineer 2 serves as the crucial link between the project manager, manufacturing, and the technical disciplines involved in a project. This role requires a thorough understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering principles. The Project Engineer 2 will provide guidance and support to Project Engineer 1.
Job Responsibilities

Leads Project Engineers in Preliminary Product Draft, Design, and Design Evaluation (40%)
- Ensure Project Engineer 1 is properly utilizing CAD equipment and software such as AutoCAD and Revit for developing designs, layouts, and renderings.
- Lead internal HVAC design, including ductwork and piping.
- Review and redline EOR and vendor shop drawings for accuracy, completeness, and coordination in both 2D and 3D forms.
- Assist Project Engineer 1 in detailing custom configurations and drafting finished designs from sketches.
- Prepare material take-offs and lead reviews with Manufacturing Leads and the Project Manager.
- Frequently review plan set markups based on as-built conditions.
- Maintain an organized file system for production drawings and uphold revision practices.
- Assist in training and mentoring Project Engineer 1.
Contributes to the Design and Engineering of PODs® (40%)
- Lead collaboration with internal and external engineering resources to complete POD design:
- Assist PM in developing EOR and vendor scope of work.
- Lead design reviews with EOR, vendors, Project Manager, and Manufacturing.
- Review and redline drawings and submittals.
- Participate in daily or weekly status update calls to close action items.
- Review EOR or Project Engineer 1 meeting minutes for accuracy and issue them with clearly defined action items.
Supports Other Groups (20%)
- Assist in the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist in the execution of Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Testing protocols.
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of drafting techniques
- Familiarity with engineering principles
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience in HVAC design
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
