Job Title: Warehouse Records Clerk
Shift: 8am – 4:30pm M-F
Pay Rate: $21hr
Location: Novato, CA
Duration: Temporary – 6 months
The Record Center Specialist (RCS) serves customers by maintaining and processing physical assets stored in our Records Center. Record Center specialists process incoming and outgoing orders while also loading/moving boxed items and wheeled bins. The RCS handles internal moves, permanent withdrawals and special projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process incoming and rush work orders from Client Services by scanning carton barcodes and locations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in orders; prepare manifests, bundle shipments, and organize deliveries.
- Scan and tag incoming containers, files, and tapes while reporting any discrepancies.
- Facilitate on-site client record reviews as required.
- Retrieve and file records, containers, and tapes within operational timelines:
- Files: Within 48 hours of receipt.
- Containers and Tapes: Within 24 hours of receipt.
- Files: Within 48 hours of receipt.
- Load and unload company trucks and vans as necessary.
- Maintain consistent communication between scanners and work orders.
- Perform racking and row maintenance to keep the workspace organized and functional.
- Prepare accurate documentation and report order-related issues to the manager.
- Inspect and maintain equipment, including scanners and record center vehicles.
- Conduct audits as scheduled or requested.
- Follow all safety protocols, ensuring proper handling of containers and maintaining a hazard-free workspace.
- Operate warehouse equipment including a stand-up electric order-picker forklift, hand cart, sit-down forklift, and electric pallet jack to move and shelve record boxes weighing 35+ lbs.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Notify the manager of urgent issues such as customer complaints or operational challenges.
- Participate in safety and security drills and report any violations.
- Adhere to the company’s Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Report accidents or injuries promptly to your supervisor.
- Travel between facilities when required.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to meet company goals.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or service industry environment.
- Must be able to provided 10yr of employment verification is required for this role.
Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with scissor lift required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to routinely lift and move 20-50 pounds, handling 100-400 containers daily.
- Frequent bending, stretching, and reaching overhead.
- Routine pushing, pulling, and maneuvering of boxes and pallet jacks.
- Operation of forklifts and pick lifts.
- Ability to climb stairs and use tools effectively for material handling.
