What’s a typical day as Disability Services Secretary? You’ll be:
- Preparing, proofreading, and distributing correspondence, forms, notes, reports, labels, tests, syllabi, course handouts, etc. using applicable software
- Sorting and filing materials using various methods such as alphabetically, numerically, by subject matter, or other systems or codes
- Answering phones, taking messages, and scheduling appointments
- Assisting students and/or employees in completing forms, giving directions, explaining college procedures, and posting notices
- Compiling information from various sources
- Utilizing college-wide computer systems to enter data and process reports
- Ordering supplies and equipment with appropriate approvals
- Operating office equipment such as photocopiers, telephones, and computers; cleaning, maintaining, and arranging for service of equipment as necessary
- Training and directing college student personnel with appropriate approval
- Performing related tasks as assigned
