Electrical Engineer – Camarillo, CA
1 Year Contract to Hire – Targeting a pay range of $50/hr to $65/hr (flexible based on experience)

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design and development of power and control electronic equipment for products with motors, generators, and power systems.
- Application of design engineering concepts and methods to the design of new, standard, or modified components and products.
- Working independently or under the direction of the Engineering Manager as part of a multifunctional design and development team.
Position Duties:
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Define and develop design concepts to meet customer requirements by working with the project engineer or engineering data.
- Prepare preliminary or working layouts, estimate engineering time, and complete system and circuit performance studies and calculations.
- Analyze, interpret, and apply military and commercial specifications for product performance.
- Ensure design conformance with Group standards, customer standards, and Group policies.
- Review design problems with concerned departments and prepare and process engineering change orders as required.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and other external representatives on matters relating to product design.
- Perform customer specification reviews and update the customer specification cross-reference database.
- Provide product support to the shop floor during the assembly of new and existing designs.
- Stay current on new developments in the design-engineering field.
- Maintain good oral and written communication skills and uphold a high level of moral and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- B.S. Degree in a related electrical engineering field with 5-10 years of product design engineering experience.
- Preferable generator/motor controller design experience with a strong emphasis on actual product assembly/troubleshooting. Other electro-mechanical or power electronics experience in associated industries will be evaluated individually.
- Working knowledge of setting up and running performance and qualification tests, including EMI testing per aerospace standards.
- Proficiency in using circuit design/analysis software and tools.
