Pay Rate: $37.00 – $44.00 per hour (+ travel bonus)

The Mechanical Field Service Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction by repairing and servicing equipment at client facilities, both domestically and internationally. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong mechanical and electrical background who enjoys solving challenges and building lasting client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment at customer facilities.
- Provide technical assistance remotely when possible.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues on-site.
- Travel to domestic and international customer locations.
- Identify and recommend repairs or replacements for equipment.
- Adhere to customer safety and plant regulations during site visits.
- Prepare and submit detailed service and expense reports promptly.
- Conduct follow-up calls to confirm problem resolution and coordinate future service needs.
- Manage warranty and non-warranty claims with customers.
- Stay updated on current products and equipment.
- Participate in on-call support on a rotational basis.
- Meet or exceed customer expectations efficiently.
- Assist internal teams and undertake additional assignments as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; additional tool and die training or TMA certification preferred.
- 3-6 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical/electrical environment.
- Proficiency with hand tools, voltage/pressure meters, and measuring devices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and manuals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and in multi-disciplinary environments.
- Experience in customer interaction and problem resolution.
Job Specifications:
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Visual and auditory acuity necessary for understanding written and verbal instructions.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments with occasional high noise levels and physical hazards.
- Ability to wear PPE for extended periods.
