Job Title: Electronics Engineering Technician

Location: Aurora OH
Employment Type: 1-Year Contract with Possible 6-Month Extension

Role Summary: As an Electronics Engineering Technician, you will perform diverse and complex assignments that support our product development and manufacturing efforts. Your responsibilities will include setting up and running data acquisition equipment, conducting experiments, documenting test results, leading compliance and quality activities, and training team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test production assemblies and sub-assemblies for correct operation and compliance to performance specifications.

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate equipment based on detailed instructions.

  • Perform routine experiments and troubleshooting to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution.

  • Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests to draw conclusions and report equipment irregularities.

  • Maintain standard equipment and facilities.

  • Accurately document the work performed and maintain records as required by management.

  • Utilize technical communications to improve system performance, reliability, functionality, and serviceability.

  • Participate in quality control inspections and execute training plans as required.

  • Work closely with team leads, engineers, supervisors, and managers to enhance quality and process efficiency.

  • Comply with all EHS and Quality procedures and policies.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years of experience in electronic component assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical problems.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality-minded work habits.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members.

  • Longevity in employment history.

  • Understanding of basic electronic circuits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Technology-related fields, or a high school diploma with 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting at subsystem and system levels using problem-solving techniques.

  • Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data and assist with corrections to existing designs or processes.

  • Proficiency in understanding and interpreting basic written technical information.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Technology-related fields.

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.

  • Experience with thru-hole and surface mount soldering.

  • Proficiency with computer programs like Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • 1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7 AM – 3:30 PM

  • 2nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 3:30 PM – 12 AM (overtime may be available)
